Al was the best man at my wedding. He had a very measured & loving nature, which keep me out of trouble on numbers of occasions (Yes, serious matters which could have resulted in prolonged incarceration time for me). He stood up for the disadvantaged & weak. He loved listening to NPR Radio in the quite of the mornings, which I teased him about being a Marxist. Several years ago, he retired (degreed mechanical engineer, from Lowell) w/ his wife Marna & relocated from Holden, MA, to small town North Carolina. He enjoyed fishing on the local lake, quiet time on his boat, and small repair projects. He was a great dad to his two daughters, Michelle & Kendra, who refer to me as "Uncle Mike." Even as I relocated & traveled around the country OH, OK, ME, & now NM for the last 20 years, Al remained a close & valued friend. I'll miss Al greatly.

Linda Fierimonte (Dempsey)
Allan was a good friend and had a good heart. We lost track over the years but he will always be a part of my High School life. God bless his family and friends. Linda Fierimonte Dempsey🙏

I'm saddened to learn of Allan's passing...I was in class with Linda Fiermonte & Allan - Allan sat behind me & Linda across from me (I believe it was English class w/the guitar playing teacher whose name is on the tip of my tongue but I can't recall at the moment...Mr. Lebow?). Several times in the past years I wanted to reconnect with him, but regretably it never happened. I recall the 1st time I went skiing...winter of 1970-'71. It was Allan, Mark Brown, Stu Lupian, Sierd Erics & me...we went to Gunstock, All the others were accomplished skiers - me a novice - but I bravely (or more appropro - foolishy!!!) went down the black diamond with them...it was by no small miracle that I wasn't seriously injured /killed or injure/kill someone else!!! We had a great time... !!! I also remember the bronze colored Chevy Nova Allan drove...Allan taught me to drive. Allan was a great guy & a good friend. RIP, brother, you'll be missed. My sincerest condolences to his family on the loss of husband, father & friend.
