Holly lived hard & died young. I saw her at a party a few years after high school. I ran w/ a pretty rough crew back then. We knew each other & didn't exchange a single word. Sad that she never got out of the life.
Holly was in my Spanish class with Mr Gabino. She was always playing the tough girl but I could see the soft side of Holly. She did get in with a rough group and never broke free. When I heard of her death it brought tears to my eyes. Now as a parent and grandfather to 5 precious grandchildren it is so important that we know who our kids are hanging out with. And yes we have a say in who they are choosing for friends. We may not be popular for a period of time with our kids but it is so important. i am glad I could talk about Holly as it has been been on my heart for Many years. So sorry that we never saw The soft side of Holly she would have been a special person.
I think Holly was the first person after NHS graduation who I discovered had died. My mother told me & I was shocked by what she said. Her family was in the clothes cleaning business, I think; if you saw pink trucks w the name Holly Cleaners, driving around Needham, the business was named for her. She was loved, but had a tragic life and death. I hope she was able to find some peace somewhere, somehow, during her short life.
I knew Holly from some classes at Newman and although we weren't close, we would talk occasionally. Her passing, especially under the circumstances, is such a tragedy. Rest in peace!
Holly Davidson, wow, that takes me back to a different life. I remember Holly, our orbits crossed, especially in senior year. David Eldert and I used to buy drugs from her boyfriend (the kind you would put in a syringe). It was a rough crew she ran with. She didn't make it and neither did David. Looks like I'm the lucky one!
I crossed paths with her a couple of times in Boston. I was working the midnight to 8 shift at John Hancock and cutting throught the theater district and I heard someone yell out Hey Dewey. I didn't know who it was and under the circumstances I didn't approcher heror knew who it was. Only afeter reading about her in the news papers did I realize it was Holly.
